Julie Jones Denkers

I’ve been an artist my entire life and love to find expression in creation of art. I have a fine arts degree from Brigham Young University. “Art is one of the wonders of the universe and a blessing from our Heavenly Father.”

Julie’s life experiences allow her to combine passions for sport and art to create beautiful bronze sculptures that are graceful and decidedly inspiring. As a proud mother of five active children, she enjoys creating playful, spontaneous images of innocence, humor, and youth. Her sculptures of women and animals also depict the values of humanity, joy and individual worth. Commission jobs and memorial work for private families are a specialty.

Serendipity - 2019

"This is a Huckleberry Finn-type of boy with a straw hat complete with frogs, worm and a Yorkshire Terrier." Many days as a child were spent at Pier Lake in Grand Island, Nebraska fishing. Curiosity concerning the world made life magical and meaningful as I explored fishing techniques, new friends and the variety of amazing creatures surrounding water. Serendipity captures one moment in time when a child, in great joy, looks over his catch!

Sunflower - 2019

My grandmother Jones started the tradition of loving and nurturing flowers and gardens. She had some of the most beautiful garden's each year.
Sunflower is meant to depict a joy of creation, childhood and the wonder of the world we live in.

The Gardener - 2018

My grandmother was the consummate gardener, planting by the moon and producing not only beautiful houseplants but bright glowing flower gardens. I have inherited my grandma's love of flowers and growing. I talk to my flowers and find joy when each new bloom appears. The Gardener shows a young girl, iris in one hand and bouquet in the other. She is in her garden and has a trowel and gloves. It reminds me of gifts we've been given. Flowers from a loving heavenly Father, talents and devotions from our families.
